A Chiropractor is a health care professional who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. They believe that there is a link between the spine and the nervous system, therefore if there is any structural or biomechanical dysfunction in the spine, it can have an impact on the function of the nervous system and the overall functionality of the body.
Chiropractors use manual adjusting techniques to eliminate misalignments in the spine that may be causing pain or discomfort. By regaining normal mobility in your spine, nerve irritation will be eliminated and normal function will be restored. A Chiropractor is not limited to the treatment of the spine only but can also treat a wide variety of conditions in other joints- e.g. Hips, shoulders etc.
Therefore Chiropractic care can treat almost any condition that is joint, nerve or muscle related- which is know as neuromusculoskeletal conditions.

A therapeutic procedure where a acupuncture
needle (a very fine needle) is inserted into the skin and muscle where there is
pain/dysfunction. This in turn breakdown muscle spasms and reduces pain.
This type of therapy includes sports massage,
taping techniques and other fascial releases in order to reduce pain, increase
blood flow, reduce muscle spams and to relax the body.
A non-surgical therapy where no painkillers are
used to speed up recovery and heal various conditions that cause acute and
chronic pain. Shockwave therapy makes use of acoustic waves which carries high
energy to painful spots and musculoskeletal tissue. This energy promotes
regeneration of bones, tendons and other soft tissue.
Interferential therapy(IFC) uses high frequency
signals to stimulate muscles and underlying tissue, in order to reduce pain and
increase blood flow. Therapeutic ultrasound is a therapy which is used to
provide deep heating to soft tissue in order to promote healing.
This is a gentle technique where the muscles-
large or small- are passively stretched as well as the opening of the joints
within the spine.
This technique uses an activator adjusting
instrument, which is an alternative to the traditional manipulation. This
gentle technique is commonly used in babies as well as elderly patients.
The spinal cord is the first part of the body to form in the womb. During the birth process a lot of stress can be placed on this little spine of the newborn leading to misalignment and dysfunction within their spines. Thus Chiropractic care can be essential for your little one as normal functionality can be restored. Babies with misalignments may commonly present with:
